N W Championships

Congratulations to our Championship winners today - Mackenzie Thomas, Liz Sumpton and Alison Kidd, and commiserations to Jackie, Gillian and Maxeen who should all be proud of their efforts.

The Championship match (Division 1) saw Mackenzie take a slender 3 hole lead into the lunch break, but she came out firing in the afternoon and finished the match on their 29th hole with a wonderful putt for eagle. Liz edged away in the closing holes to record a 3&2 victory, while Alison backed up last year’s win with a solid 5&3 result.

Jorjah Bailey was our 36 hole winner and Junior Champion with Jackie Poke claiming the Senior Gross. On the Men's side, Ryan Thomas bounced back from his 78 on Saturday to fire a wonderful 66 in blustery conditions in round 2 to take the Men's Championship by 4 shots from Jonty Lunson. Jonty was our Junior Champion while Robbie Berne won the Senior title.
